| On orbit activities continue today with the first EVA (spacewalk) currently
under way. Landing remains scheduled for KSC on Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 12:48 p.m. Weather forecasters are currently monitoring a tropical system and its potential impact, if any, on next week's landing opportunities at KSC. Post-flight solid rocket booster inspections continue on schedule at Hangar AF. Inspectors report that both boosters are in good condition having sustained no abnormal damage. Nozzle removal begins today followed by forward skirt removal Friday. Booster disassembly will continue through next week. |
