Shuttle Processing Note  (previous notes)

Space Shuttle Discovery touched down on KSC runway 15 yesterday at 2:23 p.m. after passing on the day's first opportunity because of unacceptable weather conditions. The landing concluded a 5-month mission for the three Expedition Two crew members. The STS-105 and Expedition Two crew members will depart for Houston at about 2:30 p.m. today.

Discovery was towed to OPF bay 2 last night to undergo routine post-flight deservicing. Preliminary inspections revealed 106 total debris hit to the orbiter's lower surface, of which 15 measured 1-inch or greater. The orbiter's tires are reported to be in good condition. Discovery is being jacked and leveled and main engine drying follows later today. Draining of the orbiter's power reactant storage and distribution system begins later this week.
