The KU-band antenna has been successfully deployed and work is in progress to change out and retest APU unit No. 3. |

| Two and one-half months of planned modification work on Orbiter Atlantis in the OPF will be completed early next week. The vehicle will be powered back up on Wednesday, Dec. 19 to continue the processing flow for the STS-110 mission to the ISS. Drag chute installation has been completed and replacement and retest of APU No.3 is in work. In the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB), the STS-110 stack (External Tank/Solid Rocket Boosters) has been mated and closeouts are in progress.

Orbiter Discovery is in temporary storage in a high bay of the VAB awaiting a decision by shuttle managers on the content, schedule and location for the structural inspection and modification down period. Discovery is scheduled to return to the OPF in mid-January. |
