Shuttle Endeavour is in its eighth day on orbit with no significant problems encountered during the STS-108 mission. Endeavour is scheduled to undock from the International Space Station (ISS) on Saturday and land at KSC at 12:55 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17.

Shuttle Processing Note  (previous notes)

Shuttle Columbia is undergoing pre-launch preparations in the Orbiter Processing Facility (OPF), being readied for the STS-109 Hubble Telescope servicing mission on Feb. 14. Subsystem checkouts continue, along with Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) leak and functional tests and potable water servicing. The KU-band antenna has been successfully deployed and work is in progress to change out and retest APU unit No. 3.

Shuttle Processing Note  (previous notes)

Two and one-half months of planned modification work on Orbiter Atlantis in the OPF will be completed early next week. The vehicle will be powered back up on Wednesday, Dec. 19 to continue the processing flow for the STS-110 mission to the ISS. Drag chute installation has been completed and replacement and retest of APU No.3 is in work. In the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB), the STS-110 stack (External Tank/Solid Rocket Boosters) has been mated and closeouts are in progress.

Orbiter Discovery is in temporary storage in a high bay of the VAB awaiting a decision by shuttle managers on the content, schedule and location for the structural inspection and modification down period. Discovery is scheduled to return to the OPF in mid-January.
