Shuttle Processing Note  (mission processing summary)

Following yesterday's successful launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis, crews completed a routine inspection of Launch Pad 39A this morning. Preliminary reports indicate no significant damage to launch support structures at the pad. However, post launch film review revealed that material from the roof of a power substation building just west of the pad apron impacted a trailer near the pad.

In the Atlantic Ocean, crews aboard the solid rocket booster recovery ships began recovery operations this morning. Booster towing operations start today and the recovery ships are expected to arrive at Port Canaveral tomorrow afternoon.

Shuttle Processing Note 

The STS-102 booster and external tank close-outs are complete. Orbiter Discovery was mated to the external tank Feb. 4 and the Shuttle Interface Test began this morning. The crawler transporter is scheduled to move Discovery out to Launch Pad 39B Monday at 7 a.m. The seven-member flight crew arrives at KSC Monday at about 5 p.m. to begin Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test activities. The launch day dress rehearsal occurs next Thursday.

Shuttle Processing Note 

Leak checks of Endeavour's freon coolant loop No. 1 are complete. Workers are conducting turnaround verification of the orbiter robot arm. Installation of the left-hand orbital maneuvering system pod, and fuel cell voltage tests are scheduled this week.
