Shuttle Processing Note (mission processing summary) |
| Following yesterday's successful launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis, crews completed a routine inspection of Launch Pad 39A this morning. Preliminary reports indicate no significant damage to launch support structures at the pad. However, post launch film review revealed that material from the roof of a power substation building just west of the pad apron impacted a trailer near the pad. In the Atlantic Ocean, crews aboard the solid rocket booster recovery ships began recovery operations this morning. Booster towing operations start today and the recovery ships are expected to arrive at Port Canaveral tomorrow afternoon. |
