Discovery's robot arm has been removed from the payload bay. Shuttle main engine removal is ongoing, and forward reaction system removal is in work.
Orbiter Discovery is scheduled to begin a thorough structural inspection and modification period after STS-105 post-flight work concludes. Shuttle managers continue to assess the content, schedule and location of this planned work period. A decision is expected in mid-September. |
