Processing Note (previous notes) |
| Preparations for the launch of Shuttle Atlantis to the International Space Station (ISS) on April 4 are on schedule following its rollout to the launch pad on Tuesday. Pad validations are complete and work is
under way to hook up the quick disconnects for the Auxiliary Power Units (APU's) and the Orbiter Maneuvering System, in preparation for hypergolic fuel loading next week. During the weekend, the bolts for the APU hydraulic pumps in the orbiter and the Solid Rocket Boosters will be x-rayed to verify the integrity of the bolt inserts. Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test (TCDT) activities are set for next week at KSC. |

Processing Note (previous
notes) |
| After completing the highly successful Hubble Space Telescope servicing mission, Shuttle Columbia is back in the OPF undergoing safing operations prior to starting the processing flow for its next mission, the STS-107 Freestar/Spacehab research flight in July. The fuel cell cryogenic residuals have been off-loaded, and X-ray and ultrasound operations will begin later today to pinpoint the location of the contamination that caused degraded performance of
freon loop No. 1 during the STS-109 mission. |
