| The seven STS-110 crewmembers were at KSC earlier this week to participate in the Shuttle Atlantis Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test that was completed on Tuesday. Loading of the hypergolic fuels is in process and the Auxiliary Power Unit
(APU) hot fire tests are scheduled for Friday. Weekend work includes replacement and retest of a Master Events Controller and an APU hydraulic pump in the right aft Solid Rocket Booster
(SRB), after x-rays indicated a possible problem with bolt inserts that secure the pump to the
SRB. Shuttle Atlantis remains on schedule for its launch to the International Space Station on April 4. |
