Shuttle Payload Processing Notes

The Airlock payload is secure in Atlantis’ payload bay with the doors closed for flight. The Wireless Instrumentation System (Micro-WIS) payload is undergoing checks today.  (Reference KSC Shuttle Status 7/05/01)
The U.S. Airlock, currently in the pad's payload changeout room, will be installed into the Atlantis payload bay on June 25 or 26, following rollout. An interface verification test will follow installation and the payload bay doors will be closed for flight June 28. The IMAX 3D camera, currently in the Operations and Checkout building, will be delivered to the pad and installed into the orbiter following rollout.  (Reference KSC Shuttle Status 6/20/01)
The U.S. Airlock remains in the pad's payload changeout room. No work on the Airlock is scheduled until Atlantis is delivered to the pad. The Airlock will be installed in the orbiter's payload bay on or about June 25. The U.S. Airlock is currently at the pad in the payload changeout room. Minimal work will be conducted through the time the orbiter arrives at the pad on June 3. The airlock will be installed into the orbiter's payload bay on June 6 and the payload bay doors will be closed for flight June 14. The date for the crew's Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test is set for June 7-8.  (Reference KSC Shuttle Status 5/29/01)
The U.S. Airlock is currently at the pad in the payload changeout room. Minimal work will be conducted through the time the orbiter arrives at the pad on or about June 2. The airlock will be installed into the orbiter's payload bay once Atlantis is at the pad and final closeouts for flight will commence.
